Sat., May 11 – Mother’s Day Salute:Early Female Drivers and their Finery. Admission FREE for Moms. Borrow a fancy Victorian hat to wear for a ride in our Model T or make one to take home. 12-4pm
Sat.-Mon., May 25-27 – Memorial Day Weekend: Early Speedsetters & the Indy 500. View our early Racers: 1912 Thomas Flyer, 1910 Stoddard Dayton, and 1908 Stanley Steamer Semi-Racer and learn fun facts about the Indy 500. 10-5pm
Sun., June 16 – Father’s Day: Men & their Motors. Admission FREE for Dads. Motor puzzles and auto activities for all. Come share auto stories and ride in our Model T! 12-4pm
Sat., June 22 – Matinee Movies at the Museum: The Triplets of Belleville. An award winning animated 1930s bicycle story. PG-13, 78 min; Discussion, FREE popcorn, 2pm
Sat.-Sun., June 29-30 – A Maine-Made Steam Car Comes Home: This rare auto built in Lewiston, ME in 1900 was in the London to Brighton Race six times! Join us in Lewiston on Sat. 12- 4pm and/or at the Museum on Sun. 10- 5pm for this special event!
Thurs.-Sun., July 4-7– Fourth of July Weekend: Visit our Red, White & Blue vintage autos and picnic on the Museum lawn. Come see us at the Bar Harbor parade and ballfield activities. 10-5pm
Sat., July 13 – Presentation and Book Signing: American Automobiles of the Brass Era. Meet author Robert Dluhy, retired electronic engineer and researcher of specifications of over 4000 Brass Era autos. His book is hot off the press! Refreshments, 2pm
Sat., July 20 – Models & Miniature Cars: Area model makers share their collections from die cast metal to plastic minis. Bring along your favorite mini car and join in. 12-4pm
Sat., July 27– Car Collectors Yard Sale: Barn finds, auto treasures, and more. Come set up your own table or shop at ours. Call 244-9242 for details. 10-2pm
Sat., Aug. 17 – Horseless Carriage Day: Restoring Wood-Bodied Cars. Meet Richard Currier of the Horseless Carriage Co., Cape Neddick, ME, and see his reproduction chassis. View a demonstration of his fine workmanship and woodworking skills. 12-4pm
Sun. , Aug. 18 – License Plate Puzzle Day: Join Tim Steniford, License Plate Aficionado and Editor of “Plates Magazine.” to learn about the history and hobby of collecting license plates. 12-4pm
Sun., Aug. 25 – Matinee Movies at the Museum: The World’s Fastest Indian. The legendary story of New Zealand motorcyclist, Burt Munro, and his journey to set the land-speed world record. (PG- 13), 127 min., Discussion, FREE popcorn, 2 pm
