Among the most popular cars in America, Maxwell ranked third in sales behind Ford and Buick in 1910. Competing with distinction in the Glidden Tours, Maxwell had outright wins in 1911 and 1912. In 1925 Walter P. Chrysler concluded a deal to transfer all Maxwell assets along with others to for a new Chrysler Corporation.
