CANCELED:  Beers & Gears, on Saturday, March 14 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Due to concern for the health of our patrons, we have opted to err on the side of caution and cancel our March 14 Beers & Gears featuring George Rossi. We will be monitoring the situation and will make decisions about upcoming events based on the best information we have at the time.

The museum host a series of monthly Beers & Gears gatherings throughout the winter and spring. Come in from the cold to hang out with us and your friends at this family friendly event during the dark winter afternoons! Beers and Gears is a fun, family friendly gathering featuring live music, beer from a local brewery, snacks and tabletop games of all types. It’s a great way to celebrate and enjoy the community on the Quietside in the quiet season.

A $10 cover charge includes museum admission and two drink tickets. The bar will accept drink tickets and cash donations. Non-alcoholic beverages also will be available.

Beer in March will be from Atlantic Brewing Company.

Music will be provided by MDI’s own George Rossi, who has been playing guitar for more than 50 years, and harmonica almost as long. He’s always listening for new music to play, but usually the music finds him. He says if it sounds right with one voice and one guitar, he’ll give it a try. His motivation is simple: “For people to smile, tap their feet and maybe sing along”.  Come join George — and all of us! — here at the museum March 14!
