Cello Concert Kicks Off Museum’s Annual Meeting

Our Annual Meeting starts at 6 p.m. with a special cello concert by Sebastian Stöger, a prodigy who plays a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume Cello circa 1855. Mr. Stoger is a young award-winning, Julliard-trained, player who has studied orchestra with Itzhak Perlman and has been a featured performer on NPR’s “From The Top” program. He has been the featured cello soloist of the prestigious Omega Ensemble since 2017. He will discuss the music and the JB Villaume cello, then perform the Prelude to Bach Cello Suite 1 and the entire Suite 6.

His performance will be accompanied by a wine and cheese reception, and followed at 7 p.m. by museum executive director Raney Bench and board president Elizabeth McMullan who will give updates on the museum and our exciting plans for the future, and then by a presentation by former curator Roberto Rodriguez on “Salacious, Sexist and Stereotypical: Auto Ads We Couldn’t Include in our Art, Advertising and the Automobile Exhibit.”

Admission is free and open to all.
