This year it’s all about the stars – dance and drink under them in our fabulously decorated museum; come dressed as a star from Hollywood of the 1920s and 1930s, a flapper, or other denizen of those times; see how the museum shines when it’s dressed up for a party. It’ the Starlight Speakeasy, and it’s your ticket to a great time on Saturday, March 7 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Dance to live music from that era by a hepcat-packed 12-piece band, Swingin’ Overtime, led by Shane Ellis. Play charity blackjack in Fox’s Garage which is transformed into a gaming room for the night. Enjoy light hors d’ oeuvres, champagne cocktails, beer and wine.
Costumes and dress from that period – glad rags in the parlance of the day – are welcome and part of the fun, but entirely optional.
Tickets are $25 for museum members, $40 for nonmembers. All tickets include a souvenir wine glass. Tickets are available online at HERE or by calling the museum on Mondays and Tuesdays between 10am and 4pm at 207-244-4245. To become a member go HERE or call the museum.
